{"id":1011,"date":"2012-04-04T13:05:50","date_gmt":"2012-04-04T18:05:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oscarmagallanes.com\/blog\/?p=1011"},"modified":"2012-04-04T13:25:53","modified_gmt":"2012-04-04T18:25:53","slug":"play-me-im-yours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oscarmagallanes.com\/blog\/archives\/1011","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Play Me, I&#8217;m Yours&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Very happy to be painting a piano as part of LACO&#8217;s Play Me I&#8217;m Yours.<\/p>\n<p>The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra presents\u00a0<strong>Play Me, I\u2019m Yours<\/strong>, a community-wide art and music installation featuring 30 pianos across Los Angeles County. Designed and decorated by local artists and community organizations, the pianos are available for three weeks for everyone to enjoy. Play Me, I\u2019m Yours honors acclaimed conductor and pianist\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.laco.org\/artists\/1\">Jeffrey Kahane\u2019s<\/a>\u00a015th anniversary as LA Chamber Orchestra music director. The installation launches on April 12, 2012 at noon with a simultaneous play-in of Bach\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Well-Tempered Clavier, Book I<\/em>\u00a0at all 30 pianos.<\/p>\n<p>My piano will be in front of the <a title=\"El Portal\" href=\"http:\/\/www.elportaltheatre.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">El Portal Theater<\/a> in the <a title=\"NoHo Arts District\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nohoartsdistrict.com\" target=\"_blank\">NoHo Arts District<\/a>. Glad to see that <a title=\"Ryman Arts\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ryman.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ryman Arts<\/a> and Man 1 along with the students at the Heart Project are painting a piano as well.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few before photos of my piano.
