Mixed media altar installation
Created to honor Jesse Valadez, builder of the iconic lowrider Gypsy Rose, and his son Jesse Jr., who also carried forward the legacy. The ofrenda features custom papel picado, printed bandanas, and symbolic materials reflecting East L.A. car culture, familial memory, and collective mourning.
Commissioned for an exhibition organized by Oscar Magallanes +3B and collaborators at the California Museum.
